But the memories linger/return/crash down like a rogue wave, pulling you under once more. The bar becomes a refuge/a trap/a graveyard of broken promises/hearts/dreams. And as you stumble out into the night, you know that tomorrow will bring more of the same/another chance/the painful sting of reality.
